Our traditional 3 bedroomed (sleeps 7) Beach bach (bach is kiwi for beach house) is situated on a sheltered section that is Absolutely Beach Front. Step though the gate and down the steps to Raumati South sandy beach. The setting is totally private and attracts all day sun, with shelter from the winds.     The garden is 800 square meters that contains heaps of fruit trees (help yourself when in season). There is plenty of space for volleyball, badminton and a few overs of cricket (equipment provided). Alternatively take the net and ball to the beach and play.

Views from the courtyard to Kapiti Island, Mana Island, Abel Tasman in the South Island and on a good day the Kaikouras in the South Island. Sunsets can be breathtaking through the flax to the shimmering sea. There is a turret sun room with views over the coatline for those days its too inclement to venture outside. The turret is designed by the prominent achitect Roger Walker.

Close to all the attractions of Kapiti - golf courses, the airport, Lindale centre etc. A boat ramp is 50 metres away, and Queen Elizabeth park 100 metres away. The beach at the park opens up and a walking/cycling track can take you all the way to Paekakariki.

There are loads of books to read, cd's to listen too and dvd's to watch, games to play for the less adventurous. Otherwise there is the beach for fishing, canoeing and even surfing when the westerly is blowing.

We have tried to keep the bach a cross between traditional with all the amenites of a New york apartment. The bach was originally built in the 1920's, with additions in the 1950's & 1970's. We have stripped the floors back to original, with Matai in the main room and bathroom, Tawa in the kitchen, bedroom & chipboard in the others!
